Changes are possible subject to availability. You'll have to phone and then pay a service fee. I'm not aware of being able to wait list (this will have to be done via QF).
65 min is corrageous! A dead certainty of a stressful arrival and most probably a missed flight.
From the QF web site for "Classic awards" (the cheapest type):
Changes must be made at least 24 hours before first flight departure. This feature is not available for Classic Award bookings that include Hong Kong or Canada, have two or more stopovers, itineraries that cannot be booked online, include a car rental, or that have been previously changed via phone. To make changes to these Award bookings contact us. A service fee applies to all changes made via Telesales. Points change fees apply to all booking changes.
