http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...affiliate.aspx does say that there is an affiliated lounge MIA (contract lounge) open to "Eligible Star Alliance Gold Members" ...which I would assume to be any non-USA program based Star Gold member on a domestic itin--which would include, I assume, BD Star Golds. I suspect there is something that LH and Swiss use...far away from the CO gates. LH uses something called "Club America" (interim facility) for its star golds...pre-security location

I was last in MIA last Nov, CO is not in the *A terminal yet, and don't think the skyteam and *A at linked after security either.
And as you said, the *A contract lounge isn't even behind security. MIA is trying to improve, but nothing happens fast in that airport!
