I've realised that I have a converter at home VGA>Phono (USB powered) but it's the size of a small paperback and I'm not sure about adding that to the already huge bag of electronics that counts as my hand luggage, however it would work with my netbook.

Having looked at the Panasonic exPort video cable online I've realised where I've seen that type of port before. The CO guys at the Business Travel Show told me that you could hook your own video up to the IFE screen and then they couldn't work out where you could do that. After we had discussed the other seat features I asked what the port was at the bottom left of the screen that I could see. They then looked at where I was pointing at and said in a moment of (light bulbs going on and) realisation "that's it that's the video port" but had no idea about what went into it.
