Perhaps the right thing to do here is to convert the BF ticket into two or three coach seats so that the baby can be strapped in the entire flight, for the sake of the baby.
I've flown to and from TLV many times in my life and on every flight somewhere over the western med we always have a pretty good 5 minutes of turbulence and it would unsafe to have a baby unsecured strapped into a seat sitting on the floor.
