There are J counters that are also for Star Gold. But there are so many counters and so few people, it hardly makes a difference, as other posters have pointed out. And if you do an OLCI, even in Y, you can use the same counters as some of the status pax. Or, as has happened to me the few times I've flown SQ, be asked to go to the J counter when theres a bit of a queue at the Y counter (outside SIN).
