Had a great one on BA282 (I think that was it) this morning flying LAX - LHR.

"Cabin crew doors to manual and cross check........ and take the rest of the day off"

It caused a ripple of laughter from both the crew AND passengers. That's what sets a personable airline from an automotan !

Just my 2 cents.... keep it natural and don't be shy to be yourselves !

Sweetheart - was that a female or male CSD voice? I ask for a reason.

To the rest - the main thing seems to be (with noteable exceptions) that you prefer fewer PAs. Some - and Duty Free is one of them - we have to do - sorry!. This is one where damned if you do, damned if you don't. We get complaints "We did not know that you were doing Duty Free!". I call it Duty Fee - you know what I mean. Why in Heaven's Name did they switch to that cheap nasty Gordons? (Used to be Bombay Sapphire and no I did not buy it before it got to you!)

Night flights should have as few disturbances as possible I agree - except when we go into turbulence and the Captain puts the seat belt sign on - and again sorry - we have no options on that one.

Very good point about volume - I do find that this is a problem on Short Haul more than Long.

Thank you all so much and please keep them coming.

I think that people who use safety PAs to show off their cabaret skills should be shown the door and preferably at 37,000 ft. If you think that you have talent - find Simon Callow or whatever his name is not a captive audience.
