Just checked the schedule for a future flight and it appears that the IT experts at Delta haven't set things us so that when a schedule change occurs (and that does happen), a verification is made that all connection are legal.
In this case, they think I can connect from puddle jumper land at DTW to a real plane and they've only given me 20 minutes to do it ....
and of course E mail messages informing the customer of these changes continue to prove themselves unreliable or maybe not existent is a better word.
Why am I not surprised?

Last Sat while checking my reservations, I had a schedule change noted on an April flight thru DTW. I verified that I was aware of the schedule change, but the arrival and connecting departure time were highlighted in yellow. And the it instructed me to call DL or try to change online. I could change online, but it was going to charge me a $150 change fee. Called SMS, flights changed, and the agent mentioned they were having trouble w/the change fee appearing. While I still had to call, much better than days of old when you could even verify a flight number change online.
