Anyone remember the bird's eye view on the DC10s?

In another thread someone mentioned their wish for a "United-like" channel 9 on AA. I remember flying AA DC10s in the early 80's and not only did they have an air to ground channel, but also "the bird's eye view" of takeoff and landing. It was a cockpit view (via camera mounted in the cockpit) that was shown on the movie screens at takeoff and landing. I rather miss this feature.
