For the next 20 minutes, the FA never went over 2 minutes between ending the announcement and starting it again, which is why now know it pretty much off by heart
It may be my imagination but I think the US carriers have had to step up these announcements since they've increased the checked baggage fees. The obvious result has been people lugging yet more stuff inside the cabin to avoid fees with obvious consequences for punctuality and safety. I really hoped BA would avoid the same route, but I fear my hope is in vain.
