Wow, I never would have imagined that this thread would elicit such strong opinions on both sides (we're up to 6 pages in under a week). By my count about 2/3rds don't seem to care about the incident while 1/3rd view it as unprofessional and a clear customer service breach. At the same time though, there are divisions between what exactly the problem was. For some it was the free upgrade, but for others it is the gratuitous flirting.

I agree with others that we are not in a position to pass judgement having only heard one side of the story, but its still been interesting to see people's opinions under the assumption that the OP's story is correct..
