You have to change your earning style to Points and Fixed miles to get the 500 miles, if you are signed up for Variable miles then its only 1 mile per eligible dollar spent. The kewl thing is you can change your earning style up to 11:59pm CST the day you check out in case you forgot to change it before you stayed at the hotel.
thanks - yes, I have my earning style set at points plus 500 miles/stay.
I actualy think it's pretty cool that you can change it before each stay, depending on whch yields more.
a suggestion to HHonors would be to switch between variable and fixed option automatically, this would be even more customer friendly, so I wouldnt have to remember. for each stay they could offer the option that yileds more miles automatically.
