This has happened to me. I was on a CO flight in coach, flying to my fiance's funeral, and quite obviously a complete and utter wreck. The flight attendant asked what was wrong, and as I blubbered at them, steered me out of my coach seat and into a first class seat so she could keep an eye on me.
I was far too distraught to take much notice of my surroundings, but the small gesture was appreciated.
Were someone to file a complaint about such an action, I know I'd be more than a little pissed at their selfish attitude. A moment of kindness and compassion repaid with nastiness... hardly seems right.
