You have to change your earning style to Points and Fixed miles to get the 500 miles, if you are signed up for Variable miles then its only 1 mile per eligible dollar spent. The kewl thing is you can change your earning style up to 11:59pm CST the day you check out in case you forgot to change it before you stayed at the hotel.
