If by the AS credit card line, you mean Skank of America, they would be able to tell you if the transaction was authorized or denied. Visa is simply the network that process the transaction between the merchant and the bank and would not be able to tell you anything about any transactions.

If the merchant was using Address Verification Service, and you provided an address that did not match the credit card mailing address, the bank may have approved the transaction but advised the merchant that the address did not match. Many merchants will then choose to deny the transaction, even though the bank provided approval.
