At JFK T8 (AA), the doors, which are manned by tsa people, would allow someone from the unsecured area to enter the secured area as a pax was exiting, unless there was a tsa person on duty.
A few times, I've seen them hold the door open, when someone with a cart is exiting (tsa people aren't all bad).
