For what it is worth (probably nothing) here is an email I received from Chase CS on the same subject last week :

Dear Mr Vegas

I have reviewed this account and confirmed that the
purchases you have made since January 1, 2009 have
exceeded $30,000.00. As a result, you have qualified to
receive the companion ticket certificate, which will be
sent to you in early February 2010.

Note the word 'sent' - I take this to mean sent via the USPS but I have been wrong before.
