FWIW, ZE tracks very closely to Z so tracking Z should give you a very good idea of whether ZE is available or not.
It is also worth noting that if you bought a B fare on a different carrier that might not actually map to B on Continental. Most notably is that Copa still uses the old fare structure where H is the second highest bucket and B is just a mid-level fare.
I noticed something similar with my limited experience on CO so far this year. I bought Y-fares on United for CO-operated flights and CO sees them as B fare and when instantly upgraded (on fare basis) the ticket was recorded as ZE class and only given 100% EQM. Hopefully, they can work this out soon and definitely before UDU rolls around with UA where you'll see more instances of UA flyers trying CO and finding out that their fare classes are not matching exactly on CO.
