How to determine Cost + Miles pricing...when short on miles

Hi All,

This is my first post to the BA forum. Apologies in advance if this has been answered already, but a search did not turn up the information I am looking for.

I am trying to book a trip in business class from DEN to FCO sometime in may or June for my wife and I. As I understand it these would be my options, using my Amex points

- All cash = ~$4K/person
- All miles = ~ 120,000/person + taxes
- Miles + Cash = ~ 90,000/person + unknown cash amount
- MFU + WT+ ticket = ~ $1,800/person + 30,000/person + taxes?

As I will be transferring AMEX points to BA in order meet the mileage needs, the website will not show me many of the details I need to make the best purchase. Specifically, it does not show be the taxes on the all miles option, it does not show be the cash element cost for the miles + cash option, and it does not show me if there are any additional fees using the MFU option.

Could you all help me understand if there is a way to get the cost information for the above options, prior to transferring my AMEX points into my BA account? I don't want to transfer, only to find out the + Cash price is exorbitant, and not worth the use of my points.

If it helps, my potential travel dates would be May 9 - 24, or June 19 - July 6.
