That's a reasonable criterion. But some FA's don;t like that as it interferes with their service. Some will back their cart to the galley to allow the passenger to pass through while some will just berate the passenger. SO it is hit or miss.

That raises the question, are FA's there to serve meals or for safety? Of course, the correct answer is BOTH with the use of common sense.

Over all, a very sensible post. ^
But I do disagree with the portion I have bolded. Some people have been, indeed, arrested and charge, for using the restroom when they were not disruptive.

That's what is supposed to happen. But there was a post here on FT when a person said their seat was soaking wet with "P" when they sat down. The occupant of the seat on the previous flight must not have reported it to the FA and cleaning crew either missed it or didn't bother to take any action.
