Don't worry, it's only on-duty deadheaders that will likely be in those seats. It's part of our compensation package so please don't begrudge us that. If CO dislikes it enough, they will attempt to negotiate it out of our contract. Certain flights are deadhead-heavy, most have none. You're gonna see a lot of them around weather events.

You might see a space available PAX there once in a while if there were last minute no-shows or BF upgrades out of the exit row with non-revs coming to fill the vacated seats.
