Question on Seat Maps vs Expert Mode

All,

I am trying to gauge my chance of upgrades on UA 615 DEN-HNL on 2/13.
(on a 752)

.bomb shows F4 and all other buckets at 0 (including NF=0). Yet, the F-class seat map shows 12 open seats. I know that normally, availability via .bomb expert mode or seatcounter is a far more reliable indicator than open seats in the map. Yet, I have never seen a situation with such a large difference. If I go by the F=4, this means that there are 8 pax in F (12 open seats -F=4) that did not bother getting seat assignments, and I find this hard to believe.

My only other explanation is that they are so oversold in Y that they are holding on to 8 F seats for bumps and upgrades at the gate.

Any comments or ideas on why this large IM vs seat maps differences will be greatly appreciated.

TIA
