A couple of years ago I flew an NW DC-9 (I think a -30 or -40) from ATL to MEM. I think there is more legroom in those airplanes because the use a slimline seat.

Since DL plans to keep the DC-9-50s around for a while, I'm sure they will find a way to cram more seats into them.
