Welcome to the forum. I did inquire if this was a policy change and was told no, it was always the policy. I hung up and called back and was told the same thing. Over the years I have switched between the 3 aiports without a charge on FF tickets until now. I am actually going to call again tonight to see if I am successfull in switching airports airports without a fee. I think the new change fee instituted by AA is messing things up.
