I'm just curious about the service differences between Surfliner and Cascades. I'm wondering if it has something to do with Cascades, I'm assuming, as part of Amtrak mainline. Surfliner on the other hand, is part of Amtrak California, where Caltrans provides the infrastructure and equipment and Amtrak provides the service, similar to a contract operated train service.
