Churning Credit Cards? Also - ideas for a college student?
Hi everyone. I'm new to Flyer Talk, although I'm a long-time reader and lurker, this is my first post. I have a question regarding churning credit card - specifically Citi cards. I signed up for my first rewards credit card a few months ago for the Citi AAdvantage AMEX card, made the minimum spend, and received 30,000 bonus points. This card is still currently open as I haven't found a better card to replace it as of yet. I'm not a big spender, because I'm a college student, but I do try to put as many bills, groceries, etc. on it as I can. Anyhow, I'd like to sign up for the Citi AAdvantage Mastercard, but I'm not sure if I would still be eligible for the 30,000 bonus. Does anyone know or can anyone point me in the right direction? It says valid for "new cardholders," but technically it's a different branded card so I wasn't sure.
Thank you in advance! Also, if anyone has any general suggestions for a college student to earn/accumulate miles I would greatly appreciate it. It's not laziness, as I've read (and enjoyed!) most of the threads in this forum - just wondering if anyone has any specific advice.
