Have had a mx/irrop delay a flight missing a connection before forcing an overnight in SEA. And I wrote AS a letter in reply, and they did respond, and IIRC even called about it. Included was an ecert. So something should happen... more then 1K miles is warranted... (I too noticed they eliminated the $25 voucher)
