True... if the points from your stay have posted you'll have to call in to get the G2 bonus... takes a whole 3 min and they typically post within a few hours of your call... annoying yes... but the great customer service service makes up for these small foibles

1. Was taking the eStandby upgrade the reason I didn't get a better upgrade? Should I have left my choice open? Asked at front desk?
Always ask at the front desk... According to your DIA benefits, you are suppose to "Enjoy the best room available including Regency Club™ or Grand Club™ rooms" Sometimes I can't get this confirmed until I get to the hotel, sometimes my conceigre helps. PM me and I'll send you the thread on how to request your own conceigre. You did get club access, but not on the club floor, so I'd say that was probably acceptable.
2. I'm used to free water bottles in the rooms at SPG hotels being marked as such. Is it marked at Hyatt properties, or am I just always free to take it?
No free water at Hyatt, except the free waters in the club lounge
3. What should I expect in regards to free internet? Is it normal where one method (wired or wireless) is free, while the other is not?
According to the Diamond benefits "Stay connected with complimentary Internet access" as such there are no exceptions between wired or wi-fi so I'd press for no charges for either. At the Hyatts I've been at recently I've always been comped for any time I used internet (wired or wi-i)
