Pretty ambiguous indeed. There's no mention of refunds at all. Is it refundable or unrefundable? Go figure! I don't have forever. My B-UP opportunity will end with my fall from Gold to Bronze at the end of the month.
As for calling CO, I'm not sure what that would prove. Say the agent says the fare
is refundable, but she's wrong and it's not. Conversely, say the agent says the fare is
not refundable, but she's wrong and it is. We all know the answers you get from the phone agents are variable and unreliable. Hence the FlyerTalk prime directive: "Hang up and call back."
