Yes, I've had that happen as well (on AS and even AA- shocked the hell out of me on that last one since I was crediting AS on the flight, but got 15,000 AA miles for the delay).

There were some people getting upset at the flight attendants during the second boarding about the delays- which is silly, in my book. It's not like you can put a penny in where the fuse is supposed to go.

Also, from what my seatmates told me, the overnight hotel arrangements were a bit of a mess (one I was glad to skip). Very long lines for vouchers and to check in, some people were sent to the wrong hotel (two different Hampton Inns were used).

I may try getting my cab fare to my friend's place reimbursed, since I had enough presence of mind to get receipts. Either way, kung pao chicken, a comfy bed and french toast and OJ in the morning... I came out OK.

ETA: hey, will Alaska reimburse cab costs for me to get to my friend's place- especially since I did NOT take a hotel voucher?
