Indeed it does. This was the most noticable difference that Mrs Blackcloud and I noticed when we flew it and we were in the rear of the aircraft which is normally noiser. I wonder what is if like in the pointy end.
At the moment for LH I prefer the A380 over the 747, A330, A340, 767 and 777 in that order.
I used to like the MD11, DC10 and LD1011 but thankfully I have not been on any of these for over 5 years.
