used dividend miles for a flight, now it's cancelled!
Like I said, I used dividend miles to book a flight for my sister to come for a visit from Pvd.
I went to check her in and it said there was a problem with the flight and to call 800-428-4322. It wasn't showing any availability on the flight but checking flight status, it says it's okay. I called and the reservationist said it was cancelled. UsAirways website is just showing it as "sold out". It's flight 3093 for 02-09-2010 They want to put her on an earlier flight at 1:20 instead of 2:50. I'm not even sure she can make the earlier one. Can't they switch her to a partner airline? If she can't make that earlier flight can she just void out the first half of her ticket so I can fly her here through another airline? This is unbelievable. My sister hates flying, whereas I'm elite with Continental. This wouldn't bother me, but I know she's going to flip! Any suggestions out there!
