TravelPro's warranty only covers defects in materials and workmanship, so I don't think you would be covered anyway. However, their bags are pricey and I suspect they would be willing to repair the bag as a gesture of goodwill.

And if that doesn't work, I guess you could go back to AA, but I wouldn't expect any good results from that.
