AA in washington and the American Shuttle?

Two topics on one:

1. Can any AA'ers in the Washington, DC area give me the low-down about AA at IAD/DCA? How are the admirals clubs in both cities, how are the agents, etc.

2. What is with AA's 6-daily F-100 flights between Boston and DCA? Is this a little "American Shuttle" in the works. It doesn't have any of the benefits of the Delta or US Airways Shuttles (frequency, "walk-up and go," etc.) yet it seems like they are trying to make their entry in the DCA-LGA-BOS market. How is it doing? Personally, I'd rather take the US Airways Shuttle A319 with greater convenience than an AA F100, even if I could upgrade to First on the latter. But that's just me.
