Giving me the Delta flght numbers and new Delta confirmation number?
I could count on the fingers of a badly mutilated hand the mumber of times I have needed airline ticket numbers - and all of those were back in the day of paper tickets.
Yes, these totally useless e-mails are a joke.
They do not contain either the ticket # or the partner airline confirmation #, so it's totally and utterly useless only having a DL confirmation # that is not visible outside of the DL systems.
Why not drop this silly and next-to-useless Delta Messenger and instead simply display actual ticket # and partner airline confirmation # online?
This may work for a small regional airline with no codeshares and partner airlines, but never for an actual real global airline... it seems that DL is determined to show over and over again that it aspires to be just a small regional carrier in how (inexcusably poorly) it does things.
