I'm a fairly recent convert from UA to AA. The treatment I get at the AA Gold level is far more courteous, competent, and professional than what I got as a UA Prem. Ex. It's the main reason I switched, and I'm happy to have done so. I've had an occasional canceled flight with AA, just like I would with any airline, but they handle situations SO much differently than United - it's like night and day.

MRTC is a great thing, too. It makes the coach experience a little more tolerable (I'm 6'3"). Although MRTC reduces the available seats, I wonder if AA's total revenue-seat-mile numbers have suffered? Perhaps people are converting to AA, and MRTC will actually prove to be a profitable move on their part. Either way...I'm not a stockholder...I just like the extra room!
