I had a paper ticket over Christmas when heading US <-> EU (Departing beg dec, return beg jan). May have just been because of how complex the ticket was (the travel agency booked through multiple companies because I wanted *A there and SkyTeam back).
It actually caused a headache, i wish i had an e-ticket as it took about 15 minutes for the Austrian Agent to find my reservation in the computer, I don't think she was use to dealing with paper tickets.
