Just thought I'd ask this question as I've been on a number of CW flights now and I'm never really sure how quickly you can put the screen divider up and if anyone else feels a slight awkwardness towards the stranger sitting in the adjacent seat?

The text on the screen says it must be lowered for the safety demonstration. On my first few flights the FA lowered it for take off and landing. My last trip the FA didn't lower it for landing. Just wondering what the correct procedure is?

Awkwardness - I admit that I love the screen up as soon as possible. I try and get the other passengers attention and just ask if they mind if I put the screen up. Am I being too polite or do you think this is the correct etiquette?
