Paper Thin Walls (and floors) in Los Altos, CA

We're staying at the Los Altos Courtyard. The hotel is generally very nice and the service is excellent. The construction is, however, cheap. We've been getting rooms from the floor below us complaining about "stomping" in our rooms. Everyone in the room is wearing socks (not shoes), and we're trying hard to be quiet. Despite this, with four people in a room, there's going to be some walking and door closing. So...if you stay here, prepare to be super quiet after 9:00 PM. And if you cannot stand any noise, you might want to consider asking for a room on the 3rd floor.
