The technology behind that perception is cabin pressurization to 5000 feet (vs 7000 feet on all other jets), and less vibration (both engine and turbulence). These 2 factors benefit all pax greatly; the 787 will have the 5000 foot pressurization but the reduced vibration is yet to be seen. I'd pick Y on A380 over Y+ on 747 and almost over j on 747 because of these 2 factors; yet I have shunned the A380 for my last 3 trips as I couldn't afford the unreliability.
