I agree with the OP. It should have its own forum (subforum under MR).

Why is that problematic? That's how the non-premium fares in the MR forum are posted.

How is tracking one thread different than tracking one forum? Are the kinds of email notifications you get different? Can you get just a daily summary instead of getting a notification for each new thread?

To me, it's easy to quickly browse the MR forum thread titles to see if there are routes/airlines I'm interested in. I can skip over a good chunk of it. But when I go into the "good deals" thread, it takes a LOT longer to find the routes people are discussing. To add to the confusion, some people don't quote the post that they are commenting on, so sometimes you can't tell which of several ongoing deals a person is talking about. It's like a chat room.
