AFAIK the only benefit for platinums (apart from the physical room upgrade) is lounge access (which serves a simple breakfast)
besides the room upgraded, the upgrades for platinum is only "lounge" benefits which means included breakfast (either lounge or restaurant) and evening cocktail and we can't enjoy the club benefits such as laundry/pressing or usage of boardroom in business centre.
i was told during checked-in when i present my confirmation sheet which showing the upgrades included 'lounge benefits' and not the full benefits (club benefits). i remember in le meridien kl, the free internet in room also not included unless you book the club room or pay the upgrades using starpoints.
