I've been there, more than once - sometimes literally just seconds before the door would have been closed.
I would hope the non-rev wouldn't mind doing it as a courtesy to the customer.
This was alway my attitude when I non-revved (more often than not on company business, not personal travel) - I was well aware who indirectly funded my paycheck. Having said that, I would hope that the non-rev passenger was given the courtesy of being
asked to make the seating change, rather than being addressed in a demeaning, uncalled-for manner.
