But I'm familar with the attitude. 'was on one flight to ZHR years ago; the whole family in J. There was one female pax that kept throwing the meanest, dirtiest looks at my daughter, while my daughter spent the whole nine hours sitting quietly reading a book.

I never stated that I had a problem w/children flying premium cabins (do a search - you'll find several threads that support that idea) In fact, I've flown w/children in premium cabins (including long haul flights) as part of my own party. I simply don't understand placing one child in one cabin while the parents sit in another cabin. Two kids sitting next to each other- great, they've got each other; but one, again, I wouldn't do it.
