Being in the area, it is quite a stretch to call Snoqualmie a place where you don't have to lock your doors. Petty theft and crime happen everywhere, even in rural America, 35 miles out from the big nasty city.
Expensive lesson in common sense. Hopefully next time when her bag is delayed--regardless of the airline--she'll stick around for the delivery service...which is usually notoriously late to begin with. She's stuck now to see what the police can do.
