Another hard evidence on how wrong the currently inflexible seating practise BA has.
From the experience of other cases, apparently there is nothing can be done. Either pay for the £60 or wait until 72T/24T.
We all know things can be done in different way and customers can enjoy the experiece better without worrying too much about seating together.
If the payment is unavoidable. May I suggest to BA Exective Club that give BA members an option of paying the seat allocation for their family member at:
8000/12000 points per EU/Long Haul flight PNR for BA Blue member
5000/8000 points per EU/Long Haul flight PNR for BA Silver member
Free/5000 points per EU/Long Haul flight PNR for BA Gold member
That is the least BA can do to make things simpler.
