Agree that Park Hyatt fit into the same category - sometimes bad, sometimes inspired.
Taj took over Campton Place and Boston but have yet to do makeovers. If you look at the Pierre you can see what to expect, though, but sometimes it takes them awhile - not surprising when you see how much they spend.
Seems like the PH is starting to do better or up its game.
However, it appears they keep pulling U.S. properties and even international ones (Cape Town, Madrid, ect.). I wonder if they are wedding out the poor hotels to make sure that the PH name and properties up to snuff. Looking at the properties that are Park Hyatts, they all seem to have capable of being a Park Hyatt-caliber hotel. Will we see Park Hyatt expansion?
