Any Ideas to Help My Parents Navigate the Storm?

My parents are currently scheduled to fly from Buf to BZE (Belize City) connecting via CLT tomorrow, February 6. They are flying on ff award tickets and have no status, which probably does not help in this situation.

I know that US has issued a weather advisory for the whole weekend, and as my parents have confirmed, prepaid reservations for most of the weekend, I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what they can do to maximize their chances of getting to BZE tomorrow, and/or what they should do to get to BZE ASAP if they can't make it tomorrow.

My first thought was to try to re-route them through a non east coast airport, but US only flies to BZE via CLT so that's not really an option. As far as I know, the weather in Buf will not be particualrly bad; it's CLT that will likely be the problem.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be very much appreciated. (My oarebts are free to try to leave this evening, if that might be helpful, but US does not have any direct evening flights from BUF to CLT.)
