As suspected, the A380 has 50% higher tech dispatch failure rate than 777s (3% of flights are delayed due to tech reasons vs. 2% similar delays for 777s -- the closest comparable technology plane).

SQ has gained 8% market share flying SIN-NRT and SIN-HKG due to operating A380 on those routes, while competing airlines have dropped up to 22%.

QF and SQ have 83% load factor on A380 (EK has not released the data).

Major software upgrade is being installed in the next A380 (being delivered to Air France) and will be retrofitted to the other 26 A380s that are in service. This is expected to yield a major increase in tech dispatch reliability.
