Can anyone recommend some places for good, cheap food in Honolulu within a reasonable walk of San Souci Beach?

I'm thinking of things like non-fancy Chinese, Japanese noodles or tonkatsu, sandwich-soup-salad cafes (of the better kind), maybe bars with good English pub type food ...

Also, are there good places in that area to buy food for beach picnics or to eat on an apartment or hotel lanai? Like upscale delis (I know there's a Whole Foods in Honolulu which is the type of thing I mean though I don't think it's in that area), or grocers with fruit and cheese and artisan breads?

And finally, any good places, preferably in that general area but farther away if necessary, where they have a decent selection of beers and wines?
