What does "may not be eligible for access" mean? I don't want to spend $399/year only to find out that it won't work because I'm an airline employee/spouse.
I should also add, I'm posting this because I've been getting conflicting answers from Priority Pass. The first time I called, the gentleman I spoke with said that it might or might not work. I said, "I understand that, and that is why I'm calling. If I'm flying standby on a flight and have a departure management card, which isn't a boarding pass, but does show that I'm on a standby list, will that be sufficient?" And he said, "If you're flying like anyone else, you'll get in." I responded, "But I'm not flying like everyone else since I'm flying standby." He answered, "We provide access to lounges. If you're flying like everyone else, you'll get in." We went back and forth for a little bit, with me trying to explain what flying standby meant, before he just kept saying, "You'll get in. It will work." over and over again.
So I called back, spoke with a second person, and was informed that in the US, it would not work most of the time, since most airlines have a policy of not letting in non-revenue passengers to the clubs. But then she added that she wasn't positive. I tried asking her if she knew about United [since that's what I fly the most often] and she said she didn't know.
At this point, even Priority Pass doesn't seem to know what their own membership allows. I'm hoping one of you out there is also a fellow airline employee/spouse that has or has tried a Priority Pass membership and can help me out.
